Identity & Belonging

Cultural games, language classes, and shared celebrations that help young people from Black and migrant backgrounds stay connected to who they are.

Many young people feel pressure to change who they are to fit in — sometimes even their name or the way they speak. PATIF creates space for young people to explore and celebrate their cultural identity rather than compromise it, through peer-to-peer discussions, language learning classes, cultural movie nights, culture days, and native food days. By sharing experiences with others from similar backgrounds, young people build a strong sense of belonging while staying rooted in who they are.
